2. Write an Objection Letter to the Portsmouth Building Inspector (application DEMO 19-8).

5. Contact Forest Society Trustees to express your objections. (List of current Trustees.)

 

6. Reply to Forest Society fund-raising efforts by expressing your opposition to demolishing Carey Cottage.

 

​7. Engage social media. Follow @SaveCareyCottage and @PortsmouthAdvocates on Facebook. Share their posts.

8. Donate to the GoFundMe.org campaign (click here) Initial funds support Portsmouth Advocate efforts to slow down the demolition push. The longer term goal is to cover the cost to stabilize and sustain the building until a suitable partner is found.

9. Stay involved. Come to meetings and events. Share information. Write letters to the editor (opinion@seacoastonlein.com).

10. Thank the Portsmouth City Council for their stance opposing the demolition of Carey Cottage and suggestions that the City of Portsmouth save Carey Cottage "at all costs."
